City Kids on the Farm

We headed up North to Creighton/Plainview this weekend for a wedding and the kids got to spend an afternoon on Alden and Lisa's farm. Alden thought they should get a little education on the Hog operation - I am sure that the kids will one day be spending summers up there like their dad.

They learned how to move the little pigs...

Jackson even got aquainted (he had a thing for their ears... I wonder why?)

Noah was quite fond of them

Ben wasn't so sure, but he thought the babies were cute

Jackson was a little too fond of them...

Then it was on to the chickens

Elle and Ben thought they'd bring this egg home to hatch on their own...ummm after I found out Ben had it under his pillow to keep warm I had to put an end to that.

City kids!

Ok, Angela! Here I am, visiting you from the PW site. Hooray for Allison! LOL

I tell you, baby pigs are the cutest things ever. However, I'll take cattle smell over pig smell any day.

The photos of your JRT are hysterical! My brother and his wife raised them . . . the one where he's leaping up to the pig is classic JRT!

Great photos!

Angela, your kids are so young! I couldn't quite figure out which ones are yours from the zoo photos. How many and how old?

I can't believe we've finished our 9th year of home schooling. You'll have to show your kids our picture of Steve Demme from Math U See! He's completely shaved his head! I also saw him at a convention wearing a suit, tie, and Birkenstocks on his feet. There's a man who doesn't care what other people think, only the comfort of his feet!

mrs -This is my 5th year homeschooling and my first year teaching all 4 kids. Mine are 5 (the blond girlie), 8 (kissing the pig), 10 (holding the baby pig) and 11 (he was staying with friends and not pictured, but if you go to the zoo post he's my backup photographer). The rest belong to my friends.
I love birkenstocks.
